A Phoenix Spread

My fiance had me switch my cards into a phoenix spread while doing the spread to see what it would look like. One thing that I had noticed is that Bašmu seems to be screaming at me in full force. All three of his cards showed up in the same spread. As did my home, the Void. Perhaps it is time to put time into working with him.

Test Reads with Tiamat Oracle

Image
I have been doing some test readings with the index card illustrations and meanings as I have them thus far. I wanted to get a feel for how they are developing and where I may need to expand or alter. I am starting to pull together small sheets of paper with ideas I'm coming up with for when I get them their own large binder (I need to track down a close Staples or something for that due to the cost of shipping reams of filler paper >.>) . With the first read last month I discovered that these have now replaced the Giger deck as "my crankiest deck." I will definitely not be using these for every day readings for people. These are the readings from my first version of the cards [for the test I just kept my usual quick pyramid, which is a 3 card with negative influence (1), positive influence (2), and outcome format (3).] : "What lies in store for me with Trump as president?" (done election day, when I was very emotional and scared for safety that day). Thi...

Thoughts on Oracle Deck

Image
This is to put together my questions and thoughts about creating my oracle deck. If you have been given this link, please provide your insights where I linked thank you. Background Info My cards have one aspect, per deity, per card. This gave me 41 cards out of 15 deities plus a couple concept cards. Since the deities have multiple descriptions, I used different appearances per aspect. These will be meant to speak to the deities, place on the altar during rituals to focus on, meditate upon, and other ritual uses. As I have worked further with the development I have come to notice I am adding some more aspects to some of the deities who were not well understood in time for the Inktober challenge that gave me the deck so far. So it will be more like 50-60 cards when done depending on the outcome of the meaning question. Card Layout Ideas 1. Image & name on front, story on the back.   - This does not give a surprise if you look while shuffling/choosing. 2. Image & name on fron...

April Full Moon- Sumerian vs Giger

Image
This month's moon is in Libra and the spread is about relationships.   (This seemed to ring more about relationship to myself than relationships with others) Sumerian Oracle 1. How can I tend my relationships in a healthy way? Bašmu (protection) His fire comes from within you, up out of your shoulders, and wraps behind your head like the great naga protectors like Vasuki. This is a protective shield that burns from within outwards.  I often pray to this visage (Vasuki protecting Buddha, but sometimes speak to Bašmu instead of Vasuki) for protection of my family at temple; did so just this last week in fact. This could be viewed as "I heard you" or maybe "do this more." Hell maybe "defend yourself."  2. What area in my life needs more love? Mušuššu (necrophilia) This visage of her is vampirism through necrophilia.  I haven't really fleshed out meanings for it as of yet, as she has a few vampirism forms for o...
