New Moon in Taurus- Giger vs Sumerian
The theme of this one is practicality, I didn't even know what to think when it came to my oracle cards lol.
Giger
For shadow self reading
1. Practical- Where can you be more practical? The Hierophant
This is the card for taking care of the whole of the world and piety before the self, likened to nunnery over being swept off your feet. Being more practical here would be less tending to the faith and loving the rest of the world and more towards loving self and allowing my partner to love me as a woman (allowing femininity to blossom). Be more woman, less reverend and counselor/healer.
2. Patience- Where can you apply more patience? Judgement
The future is rooted in patterns of the past. I should be patient with myself over repeating past mistakes, esp important having just faced Saturn retrograde and Pluto retrograde beginning.
3. Perseverance- What requires you to just keep going? The Universe
Awakening the conscious and self-regulating power of the Creative Self. Aligning the creative desire with Universal desire to gain success in your projects. Deep spiritual perspectives gained while on your creative journey.
4. Physical- What does your body need? The Hermit
To go within and forsake the rest of humanity; the need to withdraw. Once again, I get a "chill out, take it easy" message when it comes to my health. I am trying to get more sleep in, I guess I'm not doing enough "taking it easy?" I already don't have friends so what gives? lol
5. Passion- How can you express/embody your desires? The Devil
The Devil card in this deck is about using men as sex slaves to fulfill empty sexual desires. This is weird because it's like other cards in my oracle seeming to give advice to "just use him, don't give a damn about his feelings or wants." lolSumerian Oracle
1. Practical- Where can you be more practical? Ušmgallu
This card is one that I'm going to be splitting. This using her venomous fire for protection, healing, or malice. As she is my main healer and this is in the practicality location I'm inclined to lean towards this meaning I should be more practical with my health. This goes along with the Giger warning about needing Hermit for my health and Hierophant's heed for me to stop counseling others more than tending to myself.
2. Patience- Where can you apply more patience? Kulullȗ (aquatic familiars)
This card is her granting the ability to use aquatic familiars. I'm not too sure how this applies with more patience. I just got back from the beach and this could be one of a few cards that link to the beach for that healing/calming vibe. This could also be my new fish (Void, the melano beta) too lol. Like saying I could learn his chill vibe or he is asking for some patience with me after some tanking cleaning irritation.
3. Perseverance- What requires you to just keep going? Void
I could write for pages about what Void is, the meaning is so vast and meaningful for me. It touches everything from the energy that powers the Universe, the point of creation (Tiamat's Womb), to ultimate destruction. There is no rules that govern it so most people cannot fathom it's full structure. How this keeps me going is that it is home. It is that creative energy that artists and dreamers tap into when they create pieces. It is the energy that breaks down stagnation, hits my enemies, and allows me to have new energy to use to make new things from.
4. Physical- What does your body need? Mušuššu (death messenger)
This is one I haven't fleshed out yet. This form is a harbinger of death and vicious killer. I have no clue how this is what my body needs. Unless there is some kind of "kill the infection" meaning in there or she is going to go after my enemies trying to tell me there is someone attacking me...
5. Passion- How can you express/embody your desires? Girtablullȗ (transform into a scorpion to deliver venom to your enemies)
This is another I haven't gotten around to fleshing out. This version of him is where he transforms you into a scorpion so you can attack your enemies with a venomous sting. So I can embody my desires to heal and do art (which I expressed at the beach during prayer) via attacking people as my familiar (yes the scorpion pet came into my home as my familiar instead of just a pet several years ago)? I did wish there was a kung fu fighting form of scorpion like there was dragon form lol. This could be another "attack thy enemy" thing or maybe another lean towards a pet of mine (like animalism). There is a desire to reconnect with her and build her a new home since she's gone violent after the birth of her brood.
One thing I noticed in this reading is that they were lining up near or across from themselves on the mat. I wonder if that has any play or influence on the reading. It was not meant to, but perhaps?
