Lughnasadh Spread- All Decks
I found this spread in Tarot Nerds. I decided to give it a run since it seemed like a good check in spread before my main holiday season kicks in.
Do I need to cut away healing for the next cycle?
Earlier the spread alluded to dropping guardian, now it wants to grow guardian? The interesting thing is Kusarikku is on the Uridimmu card above for "getting rid." Perhaps they are changing places for the next couple months.
Giger (shadow self)
1. Where you are currently. The Fool
The constant search for the unreachable and unattainable goals. You allow yourself to become possessed by your inner yearnings to live out your emotional needs only at a higher level since you give up any orientation towards wordly goals by transcending you material objectives. This leads o a dreamy, cloudy thought pattern that interferes with your relationship with those around you. On the other hand, this leads to development of your Higher Self if you can obtain one of those lofty goals.
2. What are the fruits of your labor? What are you harvesting this year? The Hermit
Excessive demands of the outside world force you to look inwards and retreat within yourself.
3. What needs to be cut away in order to take away the most from this harvest? The Lovers
You love to play the unattainable goddess and be the object of desire that everyone wants, yet no one can have. You will never be able to obtain the deep meaningful experiences you crave until you find what is missing within you.
4. What can you share in order to maximize the good fortune? Justice
It symbolizes the resistance you put up against your feelings, for it embodies reality that because of the need to create clarity for yourself concerning the tasks you have to perform and your goals and to attain clear judgement you suppress your feelings.
5. What still needs to grow? What do you need to continue to nurture? Strength
This is the inconsiderate energy within you, because you like to push things around, often will only accept within yourself in the form of projections from those around you. Untamed female sensuality that prefers to see the male beneath her instead of beside her. Draws life from sexual power and surrender of pure lust.
6. What should you focus on transforming for the remainder of the year? The Tower
Indicates a sudden shattering realization the shakes fixed ideals; you are unconsciously trying to go astray. If you accept that only things that have become rotten and superfluous can be destroyed, then you can recognize the liberation from things that have become old. Through loss and pain you can create space for new things.
Sumerian Oracle
1. Where you are currently. Lahmu and Lahamu (guardian)
The humanoid warrior form of the twins stand watch over three sacred sites of the old empire: Eridu, Nineveh, and Bethlehem. This card is to represent protection and guardianship.
I stand my ground and am holding my home firm with my partner.
// I am currently in Iraq?! hehe jk.
2. What are the fruits of your labor? What are you harvesting this year? Bašmu (protection)
Like the visage of Vasuki, here you see Bašmu coming up around the shoulders and head to protect the person. The fruits of my work with him are his protection.
3. What needs to be cut away in order to take away the most from this harvest? Uridimmu (guardian/healing)
Uridimmu is one of the ultimate destruction deities. The does protect Shamash and will use the very tools of destruction to bring healing to some of those who serve him, so it has earned a modern understanding of him having a guardian and healing aspect. He is also associated with the constellation Lupus.
Do I need to cut away healing for the next cycle?
4. What can you share in order to maximize the good fortune? Mušmahhu (astral poisoning for protection and fortification)
This is her aspect that grants astral poisoning for fortification and protection.
I shall share poison?
5. What still needs to grow? What do you need to continue to nurture? Kusarikku (Guardian)
His guardian aspect.
Earlier the spread alluded to dropping guardian, now it wants to grow guardian? The interesting thing is Kusarikku is on the Uridimmu card above for "getting rid." Perhaps they are changing places for the next couple months.
6. What should you focus on transforming for the remainder of the year? Ama-Tiamat and Ada-Abzu (creation)
Abridged version; this is the card where the primal parents came together and created life from the Void.
I shall focus on growing and healing my relationship.
Native American Tarot
1. Where you are currently. Wish Card (9oV)
The wish and fulfillment of the wish for the future well-being of all. It is the awakening of new emotions and a new outlook on life and means of success.
Seem to be moving away from depression into a more loving stance.
2. What are the fruits of your labor? What are you harvesting this year? Ruin (10oB)
Downfall brought on by rash actions. Beware, be aware, of your friends as well as enemies.
Fruits of all of my work to be more social this year, flake friends and enemies.
3. What needs to be cut away in order to take away the most from this harvest? Death (13)
For every death there is a birth to fill the Void and vice versa. This is natural and spiritual law. A never-ending spiral with a death and a life linking together to form a history. The essence of death is transformation, alteration, and unexpected change. Explained another way, when the strain of the environment becomes intolerable, the threatened element readily adapts.
Continue to work to rid what does not serve me anymore.
4. What can you share in order to maximize the good fortune? Medicine Woman (3)
She was what is now called an herbalist, studying everything about how to heal her tribe with the medicine of the Earth. The extent of her medicinal skills was self-determined. Sometimes she would also be the teacher of the young and the "name giver" after the pubescent vision quest ritual was completed. Meaning of the card could be seen as: wishing for the possible brings creative results, but blindly wishing for the impossible is self-destructive.
Take back up the herbalist study and keep it in mind as a realistic goal.
5. What still needs to grow? What do you need to continue to nurture? The World (21)
The world turtle, and lore for how the world was created. The essence of the card is completion of a project, reward for hard work. It can also signal hardships and hurdles to come.
Nurture the world, I could look at this like nurture any one of the projects I'm working on (like the completion of one of the tarot projects, now time to heavily work on the other) or more literally, be back to nature.
6. What should you focus on transforming for the remainder of the year? Council Chief (4)
Creative male energy. The quality of this energy, however, is impermanent. Sudden, violent and too long in persistence it burns and destroys. His authority is derived from the creative wisdom and is exerted upon the community.
Seems to be that transforming of my other half is in order for the next few months.
Vibrational Medicine
1. Where you are currently. Flowing
Going with the flow.
2. What are the fruits of your labor? What are you harvesting this year? Marriage
Bettering relationship.
3. What needs to be cut away in order to take away the most from this harvest? Constancy
Dictionary said this was faithfulness in a relationship, consistency. Perhaps this is trying to say be less stagnant and try something spontaneous.
4. What can you share in order to maximize the good fortune? Memory
Is this sharing memories or making new ones with new experiences and people?
5. What still needs to grow? What do you need to continue to nurture? Conscience
My sociopathic rear doesn't really have one, I have this inability to tell right from wrong most of the time. I guess this is a nudge to tell me to learn the logical conscience even if I can't get the emotional one to function.
6. What should you focus on transforming for the remainder of the year? Intensity
I do need to get more intense. I've been a bit bleh as the depression got bad.
Accidentally had a shadow card in the pic: Everywhere--- I am everything and everyone.
