Nowruz Reading- Sumerian Deck
Since I celebrated Nowruz in place of Ostara I did this reading after the initial family meal of Nowruz. This is a 13 day long holiday that is rooted in Sumerian religion so I went solely with my Sumerian deck, which had a spot of honour at our table (I reclaimed the holiday for Ama-Tiamat over the traditional way of honouring Marduk).
1. Balance- What do I need to balance or what needs balance in my life? Tiamat and Abzu (creation)
Creation but be wary of what you create leading to your destruction.
I do need to balance my creativity away from stagnation.
2. Growth- What do I need to grow, where do I need to spend my time and energy? Mušuššu (succubus)
This incarnation of her gives you the ability to transform into a succubus to attack others. I didn't get to a meaning for this card yet, but perhaps telling me to get back into a sexual vampirism?
3. Regeneration- What is coming back to me soon? Mušuššu (vampirism)
This incarnation of her grants the user the ability vampirism of vitae and sexual energy. I didn't get to the meaning yet, but again... going back to vampirism?
4. Fertility- What energies are in abundance around me right now? Bašmu (expand consciousness beyond limitation of the flesh)
Opening up of the mind.
I did notice this extreme possession-like need to clean my creative space and organize it over the past couple weeks. Then a flood of abundance signs. It would make sense that my mind is declogging.
5. Potential- How can I harness the equinox's energy to my benefit? Mušmahhu (3rd eye, butterfly transformation)
Seeing with the Inner Eye. Transformation into a butterfly to feed off of the nectar of the flowers in the Tree of Knowledge. The butterfly's wisdom offers knowledge of reincarnation, transformation, transmutation, and magick.
This speaks to me of using my magick to transmute situations that I don't like (my energy depletion for example). Leave the crysalis of healing phase and become the butterfly.
