October was insane with things that went wrong and trying to find a new normal among the chaos. I think I completely forgot to post the spread I did in Oct too. I'm not even going to go back to look by this point. I'm not going to sugar coat it, I'm still having some issues getting into a schedule to make sure things are getting taken care of so things will probably remain sporadic until I get a laptop to keep up on media things while on the job or something.  I got two new decks during the craziness, so I pulled them in for testing with my Sumerian oracle and I decided to see if the polyhedral dice could answer a spread. Tell Me Something Good I went a little crazy on today’s prompt for #MonthOfSpreads // When the Vibrational Energy Medicine Oracle cards did not come out very uplifting towards a situation that is going on and my spirits where not too chatty about the message, I started adding on. So I decided to just do a quick pull for a final ancestral message as we close out the two underworld themed months of the Sumerian pantheon. I think my more recent ancestors are once again cranky even when I got the ancient ones to come in and try to bridge peace.  1. Neg Influence:   Mušuššu- Vampirism vampirism (sexual, vitae) and necromancy. Ok so a warning of a vampire around me, perhaps my ancestors are being vampiric, or just mad at me. 2. For Kin-Inanna this year I decided to test my Irkallu spread . First I used my Native deck in one shot to see if it was possible, now I tested it with the Sumerian deck that it is intended for. It took me 24 days to work through, now I decipher it. I should fully break down both to see how they line up. I still have the paper of the Native's cards in the pile of layout notes.  Technique: (This can be dealt all at once, shuffled once and pull one a day off the deck, or perhaps even do a proper card-of-the-day with shuffling) I placed the Irkallu card at the top of the spread to focus on during my daily meditations. I focused on the intent of my ancestral prayer rituals while shuffling. I left the deck face down next to the Irkallu card and flipped over the top card every day after my prayers. I spent a few minutes reflecting on the message received. 1. I took on doing a few knights to help get the deck done. Thankfully it was not the full courts who were left, as it turned out I was ill and we had some complications with the watercolour/ink paper. Since I was requested to draw dragons again I decided to do dragons (old style, quicker to output than the newer Arabian art style so bonus). After the initial problems I decided to take to art channeling and redesign them.    Each one harbours the knight "aggressive pursuit" plus the keywords for the suits I was taught and a draconic rune for the element to add to the card.  Knight of Swords He is the aggressive pursuit of conflict. I was working through the month of Ne-Izi-Gar to complete this spread for my Sumerian Oracle. I compiled the epics of Gilgamesh and Descent of Inanna with a few of the Sumerian "demons" who appear in my deck as gate guardians. On Kin-Inanna I unveil this huge task for others to use. appt as this echos her descent.  Since this is a huge shadow self spread I figure there are two ways to use it: 1. do the spread and take notes for pondering upon later or 2. pull a card a day to walk through the process over a couple weeks of daily meditations (this is what I'm doing as I do my daily prayers to the dead).  I put the meditations for the positions in italic and dark blue.  Mašu (twin peaked mountains) with scorpion-men guards : Reason to take the epic quest. For our daily practice today there was a solar eclipse spread. It was suggested to do 2+ cards in each location to get a full picture answer. I went with my usual psychosis and one from each deck. It doesn't seem to look too good. If I'm looking right it's "stop being an individual, know your place, and get there" and "it's not safe to be your heritage right now, best to dump it to try to blend in." Let's play a game of word association! So I'm going to put some bits about each line and please give back a word or some words that come to your mind. I'm looking to get vibes/ideas for meanings for these positions (some other vantage points). Don't shy away from psychological concepts, this will be applied for shadow work. I found this Mercury Retrograde spread and I thought it would be interesting to try, esp blended with the various decks since they each have their strengths and voices.
