New Moon in Virgo- All Decks

Image
Welcome back to my Sumerian deck! Now that the months of devotion to the underworld are done and the spread I was using it for are over, I'm able to use the deck again. Giger Tarot  1. Community- How can I be of service to others? The High Priestess This is the deep desire to connect with your unconscious and embodies the part of you that lies in dreams bringing dark insights. You are turning to creative forces of unconsciousness. 2. Cast off- What needs decluttering in my life? The Tower Indicates a sudden shattering realization the shakes fixed ideals; you are unconsciously trying to go astray. If you accept that only things that have become rotten and superfluous can be destroyed, then you can recognize the liberation from things that have become old. Through loss and pain you can create space for new things. 3. Pay attention- what needs my attention? The Universe  Awakening of consciousness and self-regulated power of the creative Self, but also the p...

Final Ancestral Pull

Image
So I decided to just do a quick pull for a final ancestral message as we close out the two underworld themed months of the Sumerian pantheon. I think my more recent ancestors are once again cranky even when I got the ancient ones to come in and try to bridge peace.  1. Neg Influence:   Mušuššu- Vampirism vampirism (sexual, vitae) and necromancy. Ok so a warning of a vampire around me, perhaps my ancestors are being vampiric, or just mad at me. 2. Pos Influence:   Kulullû- Death, Entropy  Death, decay, and entropy. Decay as positive here... again feeling like "just die already" like they wanted while they were alive.  3. Outcome: Tablets of Destiny  The person who wields the tablets holds the knowledge of the multi-verse within their hands, thus controlling fate. Telling me I have my fate in my hands.

Irkallu Spread in Action

Image
For Kin-Inanna this year I decided to test my Irkallu spread . First I used my Native deck in one shot to see if it was possible, now I tested it with the Sumerian deck that it is intended for. It took me 24 days to work through, now I decipher it. I should fully break down both to see how they line up. I still have the paper of the Native's cards in the pile of layout notes.  Technique: (This can be dealt all at once, shuffled once and pull one a day off the deck, or perhaps even do a proper card-of-the-day with shuffling) I placed the Irkallu card at the top of the spread to focus on during my daily meditations. I focused on the intent of my ancestral prayer rituals while shuffling. I left the deck face down next to the Irkallu card and flipped over the top card every day after my prayers. I spent a few minutes reflecting on the message received. 1. Mašu: Reason to take the shadow self quest.     * Girtablullû: Gnosis through pleasurable pain. ...

Pisces Full Moon- Most Decks

Image
My Sumerian Deck is otherwise occupied in an ongoing spread for a few more days so it did not make it for this spread, maybe I'll revisit it later.   Giger Tarot 1. What energies are coming up in my subconscious? The Devil Natural instincts of a darker nature, ability to eliminate existing feelings and create new ones. This allows you to see where you lack freedom and do something about it. Also discovering the witches' power within yourself to get the power back from your partner. 2. What is in need of healing? Death The ultimate health is to overcome death. Overcome yourself on this path and make death an advisor to life's problems. 3. What message does my intuition want to deliver?   The Empress I have all that I need within me to complete what I need/want to via earthly means. 4. What am I being asked to dream (sleep on/lucid dream/meditate) about? The Emperor The strict woman who is too demanding and mean; she aligned herself with the patri...

Knights

Image
I took on doing a few knights to help get the deck done. Thankfully it was not the full courts who were left, as it turned out I was ill and we had some complications with the watercolour/ink paper. Since I was requested to draw dragons again I decided to do dragons (old style, quicker to output than the newer Arabian art style so bonus). After the initial problems I decided to take to art channeling and redesign them.    Each one harbours the knight "aggressive pursuit" plus the keywords for the suits I was taught and a draconic rune for the element to add to the card.  Knight of Swords He is the aggressive pursuit of conflict. This dragon is from Li, the clan of the Red Chasm. They are the fire element of dragons. They embody passion, fury, inspiration, anger, and loyalty; everything that is fire. There may be some hesitation here; I know many are taught that swords are air, but I was trained swords are fire. It seems to be a regional thing. Fire d...

Is Heaven Real? - Most Decks

Image
(Sumerian deck says "I'm too busy atm, check back later")  Within my tarot group there was a post about if Heaven, Hell, and Karma are real. I decided this may be interesting to contrast my decks against. Being that my Sumerian Oracle is currently locked in a holy month progressive spread I am going to have to get it's view in a couple weeks.  Giger Tarot 1. Is there a Heaven?   The Fool  This image is funny for this question; either Heaven is within the honey pot or "just shoot me now" for an answer.  2. What is my purpose on Earth? Judgement Your future is rooted within patterns of your past. This knowledge will allow you to break the pattern. Or for a literal, I could be here to play with snakes and be the hand of judgement on people >.>  3. Is Karma Real? The Lovers This is probably a no. Lovers is a hallow, surface deep card. It talks about feeling nothing in life so you fill it with using people for...
